Council has been mapping out a new seating plan for Market Lane near the Manly Library. But from those who had a sneak peek the day they were down measuring up, the feedback is not good. It is not family friendly, all metal, preferred the wooden benches, looks like prison courtyard furniture etc etc. There has been zero consultation by the Manly Place team but the choice appears to be from the same catalogue as the seating already installed in the Corso and further up the Northern Beaches in Avalon and other places. It is consistent with the Northern Beaches Public Domain Design Guidelines which we all supported back in 2020.
