Council continues to work on the project to lower speeds on Darley Rd and surrounding streets. Council will shortly present the community with its plans for options to slow speeding vehicles on Darley Rd. This will include the installation of pedestrian crossings and increasing the width of the bike lane up Darley Rd. Consideration is also being given to treatments in surrounding streets, including Osborne and Addison Roads and Cliff St to slow speeding vehicles. This could include narrowing the streets by installing angle parking which would also increase parking opportunities.

Notwithstanding Council’s project, Sydney Water is also planning to access the main sewer tunnel below Darley Rd as it progresses its desilting project from Clontarf to North Head. And the stormwater drains also need work under Darley Rd from Cliff St to Ashburner St.
